Meet the Trustees
Laura Burke was raised in Manalapan, NJ, attended Manalapan High School before heading off to Kean University to pursue a career in Special Education. She has been molding the minds of adolescents for over 30 years. Giving back and helping those in need has always been paramount for Laura.
Patrice Berman was raised in Matawan, NJ, attended Matawan Regional High School before heading off to Kean College to pursue a career in Special Education. While raising four children, she taught pre-school and first grade for several years. Between establishing the Phillip Frank Memorial Scholarship at Matawan High school in honor of the fallen hero, the Build-A-Bear project and adopting a family at Manna House, giving her time and compassion to those in need as always been a driving force in Patrice's life.
Helen Vass Burke was raised in Manalapan, NJ, attended Freehold High School before heading off to Millilin University to pursue a career in education. After teaching fourth grade for three years, she worked with her mother at The Garrett B. Conover Insurance Agency for over 25 years. Helen always wanted to start a charity of her own and prayed about it. When Patrice and Laura asked her to be the third trustee, she felt this was the answer to her prayers.
